ESGE Days 2021 - FAQs
1. Technical Help during the Live Event
Once you have registered for the event, you will receive confirmation of your registration. Closer to the live event, you will receive an invitation to activate your account by setting your own password. During the live event and the entire on-demand period, you will be able to access the virtual platform using your email address and password. You may access the platform on various devices but only one at a time and not simultaneously. For a better experience, we recommend using a computer and opening the virtual platform on either Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Make sure your network firewall does not block access to the platform. The login process offers a system check tool with which you may check your device.
Try to open the video in full size to zoom in. For an optimal experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer.
Please be patient as the speed depends on your internet connections.
The full Programme will be accessible via the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.
All scientific sessions, satellite symposia, ePoster exhibition and the virtual exhibition will also be available on demand from Sunday, March 28, 2021 for a further two months until the end of May, 2021. Use your live event login information to access the on-demand material. If you have not yet registered for the event, you have the opportunity to do so throughout the on-demand period.
ESGE Days 2021 will be held as a live online event from Thursday, March 25 to Saturday, March 27, 2021. All scientific sessions, satellite symposia, ePoster exhibition and the virtual exhibition will also be available on demand from Sunday, March 28, 2021 for a further two months until the end of May, 2021.
All times shown on the ESGE Days 2021 website are in Central European Time (CET).
3. Registration and Login
Your ESGE member’s identification number (ID) can be found in your ESGE member’s area profile. Please log in to ESGE members area at esge.com and go to “My Profile” within “Your dashboard”. The ID number is displayed just above your name.
The ID number is also included in your membership fee invoice. The ID number will be required when registering as an ESGE Member.
The ESGE Member ID needs to be added to be registration platform. Your ESGE Member ID will not be recognised on the day you have paid your renewal fee or applied to become a member. The ESGE ID number will be activated within the ESGE Days registration platform within two days from the moment you receive an official “Welcome” or “ Renewal confirmation” message. To ensure optimal interaction, Meet the Expert and EYE Zone (Young Endoscopists) sessions will have limited capacity. It is recommended to join these sessions early.
Participants are able to register for the live event up until the event starts and also during the live event itself. Registration to the on demand material is possible up until the close of the on demand platform i.e. May 31, 2021.

All scientific sessions will offer delegates the opportunity to post questions to the moderators via a chat function. Furthermore, dedicated Meet the Expert sessions and other interactive programme features will offer the opportunity for delegates to speak directly with presenters immediately after their session. Some of these sessions may have limited capacity.

The ESGE Days 2021, online, France, 25/03/2021-27/03/2021 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 21 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

For participants from North America:
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM . Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
5. Networking & Interaction

The abstract submission deadline was November 30, 2021. The abstract submission process is now closed.
Yes, you will need to register for ESGE Days 2021 if your abstract is accepted for publication. For registration details visit the registration page.
Abstract submitters will be informed whether their abstract has been accepted by January 2021.

No, all accepted abstracts for ESGE Days 2020, Dublin were published in the journal Endoscopy. Only new abstract submissions may be submitted for ESGE Days 2021.
