An Integrated Initiative Against Colon Cancer

A Public Health Education Initiative for the people of Milan brought to you by Regione Lombardia, SIED and ESGE

Lace up your trainers and join us for our ESGE Days 2026 Fun Run & Walk and help raise awareness for the work against Colon Cancer, with the aim of promoting primary prevention, healthy lifestyles, physical activity as a health tool, involvement between the scientific community and the local community.

The event will take place in the CityLife neighbourhood, offering a scenic and safe route, making it the ideal setting for a race that enhances well-being, the environment, and urban quality.

Event Schedule

Date: Friday, 15th May 2026

Distance: 5 km run or 2,5 km walk

Start times: 07:00 am: Start of the Run at the Start/End Point at the heart of CityLife. The nearest public transportation stop is Tre Torri, a 2-minute walk from the location.

End times: 08:30 am

Technical difficulty: Low

Registration Fee: Free of charge for ESGE Days participants.

Non‑ESGE Days participants may register for a fee of €10.00, which covers the race bib, post‑race refreshments, and third‑party liability insurance (RCT).

Bib collection: At Piazza Burri, on Friday, 15th May from 6:30 a.m. to 7:10 a.m.

Registration: Online via the registration link, until Thursday 14th May at 4:00 p.m, and onsite at Piazza Burri on Friday, 15th May from 6:30 a.m. to 7:10 a.m.

Winners: 1st male and 1st female in 5 km and 2,5 km, 2nd male and 2nd female in 5 km and 2,5 km.

Services: Toilet facilities will be available.

Prizes: The Prize-Giving will take place directly at the finishing point of the run/walk.

Notes for participants:

Please note that our photographer will be photographing and filming athletes along the route and at the finish line. The photos will be made available to participants in the Fun Run/Walk upon request and all material will also be used by ESGE to promote future ESGE Days activities. The resulting photographs and footage will not be handed to any third party and will not be used used for any commerical purpose. By confirming your participation you agree to the above-mentioned use of photograph and video material.

We would also like to point out that participants in the ESGE Fun Run & Walk must insure themselves against possible accidents or damage. The organizer declines all liability in the event of accidents or damage to property before, during and after the event. Participants are required to protect themselves against all possible risks.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and in particular Rebecca Anderson (UK), who was first in the Women's 5k, Jerome Rivory and Mathieu Pioche (France), who finished together in first place in the Men's 5k and Natajia Lerman and Tatjana Jarosevic, from Estonia who were first in the 2.5k walk. There was also a fantastic presence from our industry colleagues - congratulations to the fastest teams, you know who you are!

Your enthusiasm and team spirit made for a wonderful morning, and we hope you enjoyed the scenic route. Stay active, keep up the positive energy, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!
