Fun Run & Walk

In support of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in their fight against Colorectal Cancer.

Lace up your trainers and join us for our inaugural ESGE Days 2025 Fun Run & Walk and help raise awareness for the work of the Spanish Association Against Cancer. 2025 represents the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona Colorectal Cancer Screening programme, which is just one of the ways the organisation supports patients and their families confronted with CRC. 

The event will take place along the beautiful coastline of the Balearic Sea, starting at the Base Náutica, a 15 minute walk from the International Convention Center Barcelona (CCIB).

Event Schedule

Date: Saturday, April 5, 2025
Distance: 5 km run or 2,5 km walk
Start times:
07:00 am Departure from CCIB (or meet at the starting point directly)
07:30 am Start of the run at Base Nàutica (Moll de Bogatell)
07:45 am Start of the Walk at Base Nàutica (Moll de Bogatell)
End times: 08:30 am
Technical difficulty: Low
Registration Fee: Free of charge (Participants will be provided with race bibs, available to collect from the Registration Desk in the main entrance foyer from Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00am).
Registration: Online via the registration link sent to all delegates via email and onsite at the registration desk. Registration closes on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 15:00.
Services: Toilet facilities are not provided along the route itself.
Prizes: The Prize-Giving will take place directly at the finishing point of the run/walk.

Compete as a team!

How about joining forces with colleagues from your local society or company and compete as a team? Your individual results will be collated and the total score will determine which national society or industry partner has won. Special prizes will be announced.

Notes for participants:

Please note that our photographer will be photographing and filming athletes along the route and at the finish line. The photos will be made available to participants in the Fun Run/Walk upon request and all material will also be used by ESGE to promote future ESGE Days activities. The resulting photographs and footage will not be handed to any third party and will not be used used for any commerical purpose. By confirming your participation you agree to the above-mentioned use of photograph and video material.

We would also like to point out that participants in the ESGE Fun Run & Walk must insure themselves against possible accidents or damage. The organizer declines all liability in the event of accidents or damage to property before, during and after the event. Participants are required to protect themselves against all possible risks.
